The Holy Spirit moves in extraordinary ways when extraordinary events are meant to occur. Such was the case when it was deemed good and proper that there become established , in the heart of America's 'Bible Belt' a Carmelite Monastery; it was a most unlikely event considering the religious makeup of the area.
But nothing is impossible with God.The Monastery would be considered a Home Mission Carmel as the numbers of Roman Catholics in Jackson and the surrounding areas, fifty years ago,
